    Introduction

The world is a colorful place and so is our food too, these days. Can you imagine a world without rice? Hell, no. Rice is the most indispensable part of our diets, especially if you are an Indian.

That said, most of our knowledge is restricted to either white or brown rice, which has its good and bad sides. But ever heard of red rice? Red rice is considered the healthiest option in rice varieties for the umpteen benefits that it gives.

Now, coming to the most important part. Since red rice is so nutritious, you might be thinking if it is possible to come up with interesting recipes with it! Of course, that is possible which is why we are introducing the New and Instant Red Rice Noodles, your noodles will no longer look and taste bland!

    About Red-rice-noodles

But isn’t brown rice already so healthy? So what is red rice? Why are there so many different rice varieties? I know some of you might be confused and have these questions in mind. Let’s solve it here.

Starting from our very basics. The most popular types of rice are white, brown, red, and black. Let’s see how they are different.

In white rice, the husk, bran, and germ are all removed and are also mostly polished to give it a shinier look. In this process, most of the health benefits are lost. This is why white rice is less healthy compared to all other varieties of rice.

In brown rice, the husk is removed but the bran and germ are intact which makes it antioxidant-rich and fiber-rich.

Black rice, also known as ‘forbidden rice’, is antioxidant-rich and highly nutritious. And finally, coming to our favorite red rice, it can be considered as the king of rice in terms of its antioxidant properties and fiber content. It retains its husk and is consumed either unhulled or partially hulled. It has a very nutty flavor and the red color is due to the presence of a pigment called anthocyanin.

    Fun Trivia on Red-rice-noodles

Let’s all agree on this. More than the benefits, we are more prone to get attracted to red rice because of its color, right? At least I am! Since we know the red color is due to anthocyanin, can you take a wild guess on some other food products that contain this color-giving element?

Hint: Think of colored fruits and vegetables.

Well, anthocyanin is found in blueberries and red-purple-colored fruits and vegetables!

Since these are not always easy to find, we can always resort to red rice for anthocyanins! Amazing, right?

Why is Red Rice the healthier alternative?

Since we cannot live without rice, it is a matter of choosing the best out of the many. So here’s a list of why you should be opting for red rice over any other rice variety.

    1.Fiber-Rich

Tummy trouble? We’ve all been there. Being fiber-rich, red rice is easily digestible. It is the one-stop solution to all stomach problems like constipation, improved bowel movement, etc.

    2.Vitamin B6 Powerhouse

Our body cannot produce vitamin B6 on its own. Now, why do we need B6? Simple. It is an essential vitamin to produce red blood cells and for synthesizing DNA. Our body will suffer severely if there is a lack of B6 and red rice has plenty of them!

    3.Helps in Oxygen Absorption

We all know how important oxygen is for the human body. No oxygen, No life! Red rice contains an abundance of iron that helps in blood circulation as well as absorption of oxygen into every tissue and cell.

    4.For Asthma

Asthma is one of the most common pulmonary problems around the world. It is related to our previous point of needing a timely oxygen supply into the body. Red rice is also rich in magnesium, which again helps absorb oxygen into our systems.

    5.Keeps Diabetes at Bay

Shouldn’t diabetic patients avoid rice? It is one of the common questions when it comes to this topic. Well, in the case of white rice, the sugar content is rather high, which is why diabetic patients are advised to stay away from it as much as possible. But in the case of red rice, the fiber content and complex carbohydrates keep the sugar levels in control and even aid in weight loss.

    6.For a Great Skin

Red rice is a storehouse of powerful antioxidants. These help in preventing premature skin aging and other skin-related problems as they help eliminate the free radicals.
